Greenbelt Department of Planning & Community Development Update
The Greenbelt Planning and Community Development Department is closed for walk-in visits from the public. However, Department administrative staff will be available by phone at (301) 345-5417 to accept property maintenance complaints and to address questions regarding licensing, permitting, inspections and enforcement.
Code Enforcement staff will work with landlords and property owners to gain compliance for complaints. At this time, all interior inspections are on hold, unless required to address an emergency life and safety issue.
Rental, commercial, daycare, liquor, and non-residential/business alarm license applications will be continued to be processed via regular mail and should be submitted to the address at the top of the application to: City of Greenbelt, Planning and Community Development Department, P.O Box 7959, Lancaster PA 17604. Please follow instructions provided for submitting payment. Licenses that are scheduled to expire during the closure will be extended for 30 days.
Building permits, construction in the right-of-way permits, and dog park permit applications should be submitted via regular mail to: City of Greenbelt, Planning and Community Development Department, 15 Crescent Road, Suite 200, Greenbelt, MD 20770. For assistance with calculating the permit fee(s) and to find out if any additional documentation is needed, please call the number listed above.
Permit applications will be reviewed, and if approved, a building permit will be issued by mail or email, if one provided. For Planning related questions please call the number listed above or email Terri Hruby, Director of Planning and Community Development at planninginfo@greenbeltmd.gov.
Prince George's County DPIE Offices Closed to Public
Due to the COVID19, the Prince George's County Department of Permitting, Inspections & Enforcement is closed to the public. DPIE continues to review plans submitted electronically for permit issuance and process license applications. If customers are unable to use online services, they can access a drop box at the building to drop-off plans and payments. DPIE will continue to continue to conduct inspections as scheduled.

Covid19 Information Webpage for Businesses
The Maryland Department of Commerce in conjunction with the Maryland Department of Labor, the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation, and several other state agencies launched a new webpage dedicated to business resources during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
The webpage, available on the Maryland Business Express portal, features several resources available for business throughout the state, including guidelines for employers, fair labor standards, information on insurance claims, opportunities for financial assistance, tax questions, and more.
