Maryland,
This year, our agenda is focused on the kitchen table issues. In partnership with the General Assembly, we’ll:
⬇️ Work to lower energy bills and housing costs,
🏬 Bring more businesses to Maryland,
💼 Connect people with good-paying jobs,
🎓 Invest in public education and public safety, and
⚕️ Protect Marylanders' health.
And for the fourth year in a row, I've introduced a balanced state budget, making responsible adjustments to our programs, without raising taxes.
As the federal government attacks our people, we will continue to support them. We’re living through a moment of heightened political tension, and people feel the stakes every day in their communities, at the workplace, and around their kitchen tables.
But I know that there's a better way to govern than politics as usual. A way that brings people together and treats urgency as a responsibility.
In Maryland, we will keep moving forward. Together.
