Greetings from the Lieutenant Governor
Dear Friends,
I hope this message finds you and your family well.
In times of fear and uncertainty, faith becomes more than personal—it becomes powerful. As Chair of the Governor’s Interfaith Council, I’ve seen firsthand how our faith communities are stepping up—offering comfort, resources, and strength when it’s needed most.
Guided by faith and united in service, Governor Moore and I met with the Council to discuss how we can unite faith communities to deliver immediate support across Maryland, especially the most vulnerable among us.
We’re also working to ensure that our immigrant communities have access to clear, trustworthy information and resources.

Peace and Blessings,

Investing in Maryland’s Priorities, Protecting
Our Future
Governor Moore and I held a joint press conference with leaders from the General Assembly to announce the framework of a budget agreement.
Governing means making tough choices—and we’re making them.
In partnership with the General Assembly, our administration is tackling Maryland’s $3.3 billion deficit head-on. The roots of this challenge run deep, worsened by fiscal decisions made during the Trump Administration.
Now, we’ve reached a budget framework with both chambers that reflects responsibility and common sense. It strengthens our economy, eliminates the deficit, and puts us on track for a cash surplus—all while ensuring that 94 percent of Marylanders will see either a tax cut or no change at all.
Discussions will continue into the final week of the session—but we’re committed to getting this right.
Here’s where your tax dollars go.
One Year Later:
Honoring the Lives Lost and Rebuilding Together
Left to right: Governor Moore, Lieutenant Governor Miller, Rep. Kweisi Mfume, and Rep. Johnny Olszewski attending the Key Bridge day of remembrance.
On March 26, 2024, Maryland lost six lives in the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. One year later, we stood together—families, first responders, elected leaders, and community and business partners—in remembrance and resolve. Working with our federal partners, the Moore Miller Administration has secured 100 percent funding for the bridge reconstruction. Maryland’s first cable-stayed bridge will rise - not just to replace what we lost, but to reflect what we’ve found: Strength. Unity. Resilience. This is how Maryland moves forward—together.
Supporting our Federal Workers
More than 1,000 Marylanders came together in College Park for a job fair offering resources and guidance to displaced federal workers.
Few states are hit harder than Maryland when Washington plays politics with people’s livelihoods. The White House may target federal workers—but in Maryland, it's families who pay the price.
Governor Moore and I have been traveling across Maryland as part of a continued mobilization effort to support our federal workforce—meeting with those affected, sharing vital resources, and joining job fairs to connect people with new opportunities and renewed hope.
Our Administration has set up a link that provides resources and information for those affected by recent federal downsizing. These can be found here.

Join Us: Substance Use Awareness Day Rally
Wednesday, April 2, 2025 | 9:00 AM | Lawyer’s Mall, Annapolis
The Moore-Miller Administration is proud to host Maryland’s first-ever Substance Use Awareness Day Rally—bringing together advocates, health professionals, community members, and policymakers to confront the overdose crisis.
Substance use disorder remains a public health emergency, even as overdose deaths fell by 34 percent in 2024. This rally is about action: uplifting stories of resilience, sharing recovery resources, and advancing policies that prioritize care over stigma.
Join us in building a healthier, more compassionate Maryland.
