Procurement Compliance Bulletin
4.15.2022
Delivering excellent customer service has always been and will always be one of the critical competitive advantages for any organization. Maryland's “Customer Service Promise” sets a standard for how we should provide excellent service and assist our vendors. Beyond the Customer Service Promise, we should all strive to appreciate our Maryland businesses and build their trust and loyalty. The month of April is International Customer Loyalty Month. The definition of loyalty is a strong feeling of support or allegiance. Customer loyalty is developed by providing an experience that keeps customers motivated to work with you. We hope you are planning outreach events to engage our small, minority, women, and veteran-owned vendors in opportunities at your agency/department. Procurement outreach events keep them in the loop and help build a rapport between the vendor and the agency. Our vendors appreciate your efforts to help them feel informed! Let us all consider what loyalty efforts we are displaying, and work as a whole to create an experience that fosters continued success for small, minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses.

Increase in VSBE Vendors
We are excited by the growth of veteran-owned businesses that are certified in Maryland's VSBE Program. As you evaluate setting VSBE goals, remember to check eMMA for certified VSBE vendors. If you are wanting a personal tutorial in finding VSBE certified vendors, please contact Danielle Davis (email below). Finish the fiscal year out strong to ensure your agency meets the VSBE overall goal.
