IMMEDIATE IMPACT - MD iMAP Composite Locator With Esri Discontinued...

Dear MD iMAP User,

Please be advised that use of the Esri World Geocode Service in conjunction with MD iMAP and Maryland's ArcGIS Online Organization will be DISCONTINUED IMMEDIATELY.

The consumption of Maryland's ArcGIS Online organization credits through the use of Geocoding in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Online has dropped the number of credits available to the Maryland community to dangerously low levels. Remaining credits have been reserved to continue the operation of other ArcGIS Online dependent applications, services and functions.

The follow changes have been implemented immediately:

1) The MD Composite Locator with Esri geocoding service (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/GeocodeServices/MD_CompositeLocatorWithEsri/GeocodeServer) has been disabled. It will no longer be available through ArcMap, REST Service calls, and ArcGIS Online.

2) The Esri World Locator is no longer available for use in ArcMap through an Maryland ArcGIS Online organizational account.

3) The Esri World Locator is no longer available for use in Maryland's ArcGIS Online organizational account.

This may impact applications you have developed which use the MD Composite Locator with Esri geocode service.

The MD Composite Locator (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/GeocodeServices/MD_CompositeLocator/GeocodeServer) is still available for use in ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, REST Service calls, and applications.

The Maryland Geographic Information Office (MD GIO Office) is committed to providing high quality GIS services to the Maryland community.
