MD iMAP Map Service Updates & New Map Gallery Items

Dear MD iMAP User,

We have several updates for our Map Services and have added new items to our Map Gallery.

Map Services

New: MD_Casinos - Casinos and Gaming Facilities from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/Society/MD_Casinos/MapServer)

New: MD_BenthicHabitat - Chesapeake Bay bottom types collected by SONAR surveys, from NOAA and Maryland DNR (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/Biota/MD_BenthicHabitat/MapServer)

Changed: Environment/MD_ForestedBuffers (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/Environment/MD_ForestedBuffers/MapServer) will be moving to Biota/MD_Forests (http://geodata.md.gov/imap/rest/services/Biota/MD_Forests/MapServer/1). The MD_Forests service will contain additional layers related to Maryland Forests.

Note: The existing Environment/MD_ForestedBuffers service will be removed on 5/25/2015, please update any applications or map documents with the new service which is now available.

Map Gallery Items

"You've Earned It!" Initiative Tool - The MMP “You've Earned It!” program is open to potential home-buyers who are buying a home through the Maryland Mortgage Program in one of Maryland’s “Sustainable Communities.” This application allows you to discover if a property is eligible to participate in the program. Provided by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

MARC Tracker Map - The MARC Tracker Map displays the current location and train status in real-time for all MARC Commuter Trains. Train schedules, emergency news bulletins and service updates are also shown. Provided by the Maryland Transit Administration.

Light Rail Track App - The Light Rail Tracker App displays the current location of trains for all stops on Light Rail lines. Users can view specific lines or all lines at once. System maps, schedules and next trail arrivals are also available. Provided by the Maryland Transit Administration.
