Nov. 7: Indoor Park HIIT
Workout 5 p.m. at Hawks Nest
Change up your workouts with this 45-minute high
intensity interval training course instructed by health coach, educator
and personal trainer Carey Moffatt. All fitness levels are encouraged to
participate as each move can be adjusted to individual needs.
Nov. 9: Peaceful Evening
Indoor Yoga 5 p.m. at Hawks Nest
Join Yogafit instructor Leslee for a reflective
evening practice. All experience levels welcome. Bring a mat or borrow one of ours; available on a first come, first served basis.
Nov. 11: The Mountains are Calling! – The Full Evitts Mountain Hike Noon-4 p.m. at the Touch of Nature Parking Lot
Start your weekend with an
invigorating challenge. Join Naturalist Jenna for a 7-mile hike on
the Evitts Mountain Trail. Hikers will experience beautiful scenery and views
as we gain elevation. We’ll go at a pace comfortable for the group and take breaks along the way.
Most of the trail is wide and flat, but be sure to wear comfortable
shoes for hiking. Dress for the weather (layers) and bring snacks and multiple
water bottles. This hike will take 3-4 hours, including breaks. Friendly dogs are welcome (with up-to-date vaccinations).
Nov. 14: De-stress and
Energize Indoor Park Yoga 5 p.m. at Hawks Nest
Unwind and join Yogafit instructor Samantha for an energizing yoga
practice. Bring a mat or borrow one of ours; available on a first come, first served basis.
Nov. 18: Settlers Hike 1 p.m. at the Nature Center
Join our naturalist on this fun fitness trek along the Lakeside Loop and Settlers Path trails. This is a moderate hike; bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
Nov. 21 : Total Body Tabata Class 5 p.m. at Hawks Nest
Join certified personal trainer Jen Thomas for this total
body workout. All are welcome; suitable and adaptable for all fitness levels. Bring water, a mat and set of dumbbells (if you have them).
Nov. 24: Green Friday Hike 1 p.m. at the Touch of Nature Parking Lot
Join the park manager for a Green Friday Hike. Using hashtag #OptOutside, walk off those holiday calories!
Nov. 25: Canyon Overlook Hike Noon at the Touch of Nature Parking Lot
Join us on this short hike through an old hemlock forest to view the “gap” of Rocky Gap. This hike will last approximately 45 minutes and is great for beginners.
