LATE OCTOBER EVENTS

This month's programming at Rocky Gap State Park

All events are held rain or shine. Last-minute cancellations may occur.


Oct. 17De-stress and Energize Beach Yoga 
5:30 p.m. at West Beach

Unwind and join Yogafit Instructor Samantha for a beautiful beach yoga practice. Meet in the day use area. Bring a blanket or mat and an extra layer for cool evenings. If it rains or is too cold, this workout may be indoors at the Hawks Nest concession building.


Oct. 19, 24: Park HIIT Workout 
5:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Pavilion

Change up your workouts with this 45-minute high intensity interval training course instructed by health coach, educator and personal trainer Carey Moffatt. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate as each move can be adjusted to individual needs. If it rains or is too cold, this workout may be indoors at the Hawks Nest concession building. 


Oct. 21: Glorious Gorge Hike 
1 p.m. at the Touch of Nature Parking Lot

Join us on this breathtaking hike through the Gorge of Rocky Gap. The hike takes about an hour and is considered intermediate level; be prepared to climb over rocks and hike steep hills. 


Oct. 25: 90s Body Blaster Workout 
5:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Pavilion

Pump up the jam with Certified Personal Trainer Jen during this fun, full-body workout to your favorite 90s hits! You'll get your heart pumping and muscles burning while reducing stress as you take in the great outdoors! Bring a mat, a set of dumbbells and water. If it rains or is too cold, this workout may be indoors at the Hawks Nest concession building.


Oct. 28: Lakeside Loop Hike
1 p.m. at the Ranger Station

Join a naturalist for an intermediate hike along the longest trail Rocky Gap has to offer. With 5.3 miles of gorgeous trail around Lake Habeeb, we will hike past beaver lodges and through hardwood forests. This hike will take several hours, so be prepared for the weather, and bring plenty of snacks and water.
