 Dear Provider Portal Users,
Please review the revised guidance for the “Overnight Service Midnight Split” document that was shared last week.
This updated guidance corrects a minor mistake in the document.
The previous draft of this document included an error in the hours calculated for the example on pages 1 and 2. The incorrect text is highlighted in red below.
This new document correctly lists the hours as shown below:
System billed:
3 hours (12 units) on 1/1/2029
5 hours (20 units) on 1/2/2029

For your reference, the original email from last week is below.
Thank you,

Previous email sent on 3/29/2024:
Dear Provider Portal users,
After the April 13, 2024 maintenance, the LTSSMaryland Provider Portal will have a new update to how the system processes overnight services.
After this maintenance any overnight shift will be split into two services / claims at midnight. This means hours are counted by day the services are provided and are no longer tied to the clock in date.
NOTE: There will be no change to how Missing Time Requests (MTRs) are submitted.
Thank you,
The LTSSMaryland Provider Billing Support Office
