Volume One, Issue Seven Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018

The application period for practices closed
last Friday, Aug. 31, and nearly 600 practice sites, representing over 2,200 clinicians,
submitted their applications to participate in the Maryland Primary Care Program (MDPCP) for the 2019 program
year. That’s impressive!
Over the next several weeks, the Center for
Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) will be reviewing applications. Practices
can expect to receive notification of CMMI’s decision in October. As the fall
goes on, participants will complete their agreements and documentation to start the program in January. More to come.
In the meantime, the Program Management Office
(PMO) will be hosting a series of webinars to help participants prepare for the
January launch of the MDPCP. Our office will also publish additional program
information as it becomes available. Please keep an eye on our website and event calendar for updates.
We’re looking forward to working with you as Maryland
takes the next step to improve care delivery for all Marylanders.
