House of Cards Casting Call
Anyone from Harford County who might not have landed a part in the first season on the Netflix drama "House of Cards" will have another shot later this month.
Michael Krantz, director of human resources and administration for the town of Bel Air, announced during a town commissioners work session Tuesday a casting call will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 18 at the Bel Air Reckord Armory. Learn more here

Joppatowne Carnival
Would you like to volunteer your time to help with the Carnival? We need 144 volunteers (18 & up) to work the ticket booths at the carnival. All of the proceeds from the carnival help fund the Edgewood/Joppatowne parade (July 6th, 6pm). This event qualifies participants for Community Service Points. Read the times and dates here. Alley Cat Trash Collection Has Gone Out of Business
Many constituents used the services offered by Alley Cat Trash Collection for weekly waste removal services. Please note, that Alley Cat is no longer in business, as they have shut down their operation. Waste Industries (Harford Sanitation Service (HSS)) acquired the collection routes of Alley Cat, and Waste Industries is in the process of contacting the customers previously served by Alley Cat.
Residents of Harford County may use any licensed solid waste collector to collect waste (see the list below) or they may self-haul their waste to the Harford Waste Disposal Center on Scarboro Road, which is open M-Sat 7am to 3pm. Information about the landfill and associated fees are available on the County’s Website.
