Registration deadlines are fast approaching for two of the Carroll County Farm Museum’s most popular children’s programs:

 

 

School of the Soldier

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday April 27, 2019

 

Come learn what it was like to be a soldier in the Civil War at this living history event designed especially for students. Open to boys and girls age 10 to 15. Participants will be mustered in, drill and then reenact a skirmish for their families and other Museum guests. $25 fee includes a commemorative t-shirt.

Registration required by April 5, 2019.

*Please note, no real weapons are used.

 

Living History Camp

Pioneer a new adventure at Living History Camp!

See if you have what it takes to survive in the 1800s. Enjoy activities like fishing, blacksmithing, tinsmithing, weaving and much more. Play games, visit with our Farmyard Friends and help cook a meal over the hearth.

 

Sessions are as follows:

 

  • June 19 – 21           Rising 3rd graders     $150   ($170 after April 5, 2019)
  • June 24 – 28         Rising 4th graders     $175    ($195 after April 5, 2019)
  • July 8 – 12              Rising 5th graders     $175    ($195 after April 5, 2019)
  • July 15 – 17             Rising 6th graders     $150   ($170 after April 5, 2019)

There is a discount available for campers from the same household/immediate family. Register on or before April 5 to get the lowest session price.
