 Carroll County Commissioners Schedule
Freedom Plan Discussions
Westminster, MD, August 30, 2018 – Today, the
Board of County Commissioners (BCC) began deliberating and discussed next steps
to accomplish their goal of voting on the Freedom Community Comprehensive Plan
by October 23, 2018. The board began to review a first draft presentation,
prepared by Commissioners Howard and Rothschild, which focused on the vision
statement in the plan and suggestions to modify the plan to better reflect
community input. Their presentation was described as an executive overview. The
board initiated a list of issues to be considered throughout the process.
Last week the board voted to
rescind the decision made in October 2017 to remand the 2017 Freedom Plan to
the Carroll County Planning Commission. The commissioners now have 60 days from
that day to vote on the plan.
