
Annual Maple Sugarin’ Festival and Pancake Breakfast is Cancelled
Westminster, MD, February 23, 2018- Due to forecasted weather conditions and insufficient parking due to
muddy grounds, Hashawha Environmental Center’s Annual Maple Sugarin’ Festival and Pancake Breakfast on
Sunday March 4th, 2018 has been cancelled.
The event will not be rescheduled for this year, but a smaller event will be held at Bear Branch Nature Center.
There will be maple sugaring activities at Bear Branch Nature Center from 10:00AM-3:00PM on Sunday,
March 4. These activities include hikes to the maple trees for tapping demonstrations (every hour on the hour),
boiling demonstrations, planetarium shows, and crafts. Maple syrup will also be for sale. Please note that
parking may be limited.
