Celebrating America History Expo at National History Day

Westminster, MD, Thursday, February 22, 2018– Today in open session during Positively Carroll, the Board of County Commissioners heard from the Celebrating America committee regarding National History Day in Carroll County, MD.  National History Day is a nationwide program held annually that involves more than half a million students. This year, students will choose a historical topic around the theme of “Conflict and Compromise in History.” 

Carroll County Public Schools is sponsoring an event recognizing National History Day at Winters Mill High School on Saturday, February, 24 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and invited Celebrating America to become part of the event. The 1st Annual Celebrating America History Expo will feature:

  • The 29th Infantry Division Traveling History Display
  • Book signing and lecture from Jack McBride White and Warren Dorsey
  • An augmented reality display of Union Mills.
