FFA Week Proclaimed in Carroll County

Westminster, MD, Thursday, February 15, 2018 –Today, during Open Session, the Board of Carroll County Commissioners proclaimed February 17th - 24th, as FFA Week in Carroll County.  FFA is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership.

The proclamation acknowledges how FFA and agricultural education provide a strong foundation for the youth of America and the future of the food, fiber and natural resources systems.  It goes on to assert how FFA promotes premier leadership, personal growth and career success among its members, ensuring a steady supply of young professionals in science, business and technology of agriculture. Furthermore, FFA promotes citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism and cooperation.

Several students and representatives from local FFA chapters attended the ceremony. The presentation is available by viewing the county meeting portal at ccgoverment.carr.org.
