Official Carroll County Regional Airport Website Unveiled

Westminster, MD, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - The Board of Carroll County Commissioners is pleased to unveil the new official Carroll County Regional Airport website. Carroll County Regional Airport, FAA designation KDMW, is a publicly owned, public use general aviation airport owned by Carroll County and located in Westminster along the MD 97 corridor.  The new website highlights the airport’s facilities and services along with providing links to important aviation resources and the fixed-based operator, Skytech, Inc.

Carroll County Regional Airport (CCRA) maintains a single 5,100-foot long by 100-foot wide runway; it is the sixth largest non-military runway in Maryland. As a reliever airport for Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, it is the place to land and fuel for many local flying enthusiasts.

“We are proud of Carroll County Regional Airport and its 65 year history serving regional aviation needs,” said Carroll County Board of Commissioner President Richard Weaver, “We are excited this new tool will assist passengers, airport partners and the general public with additional information and will contribute to a positive airport experience for all users.”

Director of Public Works Jeff Castonguay shared, “The airport is a critical aviation asset for the region serving individual pilots and corporate aviation needs.  We are pleased to offer and maintain this great airfield and showcase it via the new website.”

Joe McKelvey, CCRA Manager says, “This new website helps us to market the airport 24/7 providing a variety of data and links including a convenient information request form to make specific inquiries.”
