Throughout Baltimore City, you will notice agencies, non-profits, businesses, faith-based organizations, and volunteers committed to ensuring that Baltimore succeeds, including children, adults, and families. When we succeed as a city, we improve our standards for outreach to people.

Did you know?
In 2020, Baltimore became the first US city to legislate trauma-informed care with passage of the Elijah Cummings Healing City Act.
Elijah Cummings Healing City Act
The Trauma-Informed Care Task Force was legislated through the Elijah Cummings Healing City Act, sponsored by Councilmember Zeke Cohen, which mandated the training of Baltimore's agency leadership and employees in trauma-informed practices. The Task Force is committed to creating a multi-year strategy to inform city policies and procedures to align with the best trauma-informed care practices.
We invite you to join the 2-day summit sparking collaboration among community leaders, scientists, and healthcare providers. The Baltimore Trauma Summit will be held June 15-16, 2022, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore City, MD.
