You are cordially invited to attend the Morning Masters Brunch for Entrepreneurs on Saturday, July 21st from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.! Morning Masters is a community forum presented by Mayor Catherine E. Pugh and the Mayor's Office of Small, Minority and Women Business examining small business development through the lens of health equity and economic inclusion. The forum will convene community leaders, policy makers, and public health experts for a series of conversations on total wellness, business strategy, resource development and neighborhood revitalization. Enjoy a locally catered brunch, fireside chats by featured guests, and networking among the most interesting and disruptive entrepreneurs, artists, activists and community leaders in the region.
The first edition of Morning Masters features special guest Shanti Das. Shanti Das is an accomplished music industry veteran, consultant, author, entrepreneur and philanthropist. She has sustained the careers of a long list of multi-platinum recording stars from TLC, OutKast, Usher and Prince while working at LaFace, Columbia, and Universal Motown. Das is also the founder of the Hip-Hop Professional Foundation and the Silence the Shame Movement where she enlists her deep business network to lead conversations about mental health. In addition to raising awareness she connects individuals to counseling and wellness resources as creator and host of the Silence the Shame Podcast.
This forum will be moderated by Audrey L. Johnson Regional Lead and Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity and Economic Impact for Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States Region and Destiny-Simone Ramjohn, Director of Community Health for Greater Baltimore Kaiser Permanente.
