Location:  Office of the Attorney General, Maryland Department of Health 300 W. Preston St., Suite 302, Baltimore, MD 21201

Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants to serve as an Assistant Attorney General at the Maryland Department of Health.  The Assistant Attorney General will provide a wide variety of advice and litigation services for different entities of MDH.  Areas of focus for the position will include but may not be limited to: providing advice and serving as counsel to the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) handling state and federal court litigation, and administrative hearings. Responsibilities will include drafting and editing legislation, regulations, policy statements, and clients' reports, representing the agencies in administrative and court litigation, advising them on litigation, providing advice on a myriad of issues facing the agency, and coordinating when necessary with other AAGs on matters that may affect both DDA.
