Job Title:  Chief Criminal Appels Division   Position Type: Full Time

Location:  Office of the Attorney General, Criminal Appeals Division,   200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Maryland 

Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for the position of Chief of the Criminal Appeals Division.  This position functions as the Attorney General's representative and chief advisor on all matters involving the Criminal Appeals Division and manages the day-to-day operation of the Unit. The position assumes responsibility for all legal matters of the Division, including but not limited to:  representing the State in appellate courts and federal trial appellate courts; reviewing all decisions adverse to the State and determine propriety of appeal; supervising review of all petitions for writ of certiorari and answers to petitions filed in Court of Appeals;  habeas corpus and assign cases in the Division.
