Location: Office of the Attorney General, Educational Affairs Division 200 St. Paul Place, Baltimore, Maryland
Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking candidates for a Senior Counsel for
Litigation position for the Educational Affairs Division. The Division represents Maryland’s public higher education institutions and various related agencies in litigation in state and federal courts and in matters before state and federal administrative agencies. The Senior Counsel will prepare and litigate civil cases and matters on behalf of State entities and employees, to protect, assert and/or defend the State’s and the represented parties’ interests. The Senior Counsel will also consult with and advise other attorneys in the Division on the handling of cases and matters. Consultation will include review of civil appellate briefs and participation in moot courts.
