Description:   The Office of the Attorney General seeks applicants for an Assistant Attorney General position in its Organized Crime Unit, which handles complex investigations and prosecutions of criminal gang activities, firearms and narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, prison corruption, and violent felonies from serious assaults to serial murders.  The Assistant Attorney General will lead investigations and prosecutions of complex and serious cases in all of the aforementioned areas, primarily focusing on cases related to gang activity, corruption, violence and misconduct in Maryland prison systems.  A wide range of investigative tools will be deployed, including, but not limited to, undercover operations, wiretaps, and the use of the grand jury.  Experience with complex criminal prosecutions and a passion for trial work is essential, along with strong research, writing, and advocacy skills.
