This month we look forward to hosting several new events, as well as community favorite's including Spring '24 Movies in the Park Series, Summer Camp Expo, 11th Annual Easter Extravaganza, Spring Track & Field, FitNOLA, NORD Improvements/Repairs, employment & volunteer opportunities and more.  Movies in the Park is back and begins today, March 1st! Grab your friends, family, picnic basket, blanket and chair and come join in all the fun! Movies begin at dusk! Pre-show activities start an hour before the movie.
 'The Marvels' movies will be showing this evening at A.L. DAVIS PLAYGROUND, located at 2600 LaSalle Street. Movie begins at dusk! Bring your family, friends, picnic, blanket and chair! See you tonight!
 Summer Camp will be here sooner than you think! Get a head start on choosing where your child will go this summer. Mark your calendar, and come out to our Summer Camp Expo, Saturday, March 9th from 9:00am-12:00pm at four(4) of our locations: Joe W. Brown, Milne, Morris XF Jeff, and Rosenwald Recreation Centers.  Girls on the Run at Milne Rec Center, Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:00pm-6:00pm. This program promotes girl empowerment through lessons & running. Open to girls in grades 3rd-5th. Scholarships available! $25 5K registration fee will apply.
 We're hosting our annual Easter Extravaganza and you're invited! Saturday, March 16 from 11:00am-1:00pm at three locations: MORRIS XF JEFF, JOE W. BROWN MEMORIAL PARK, and LAFITTE GREENWAY! This event is FREE, ages 3-12 years old! Mark your calendar. See you there!

 We're so excited to partner with Citizens Police Academy! This is a great opportunity for youth of New Orleans to meet and hear from our Criminal Justice Partners, while participating in hands-on learning experiences with fun interactive learning tools. The Junior Citizens Police Academy Internship Program is a six-week program: April 2, April 9, April 16, April 23, April 30, and May 6 at various NOPD facilities.
