NEW ORLEANSThe NOPD is searching for a male subject wanted for an aggravated assault incident that occurred in the 3100 block of Gentilly Boulevard.

The victim, a cashier at the location, stated that on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at about 10:35 a.m. the pictured subject entered the business and requested dollar bills for his three dollars in coins.  The subject placed the coins on the counter and left the location.  Upon returning to the counter, the subject's money was gone and the victim advised him that a previous customer had taken the money. The subject then became irate and exited the location and returned shortly with a machete while demanding his three dollars.

As the cashier was reaching for a sales ad, the subject started banging the machete on the counter almost hitting the victim’s hand.  After receiving three dollars from an unknown customer, the suspect then left the location in the pictured vehicle.

The subject is described as being bald, and he was seen wearing a white hoodie, khaki jacket, beige pants and white tennis shoes.
