Nighttime flagging operations at multiple locations
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 23, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled pavement marking work at several locations in Fayette County.
Work is scheduled nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 25. Flagging operations will be in place while crews complete the work.
Work locations include:
- KY 1878 between Greendale Road and Jaggie Fox Way
- Iron Works Pike (KY 1973) at the Interstate 75 bridge
- Newtown Pike (KY 922) at Old Frankfort Pike (KY 1681)
- Old Frankfort Pike (KY 1681) between Enterprise Drive and New Circle Road
- KY 1974 between the Hickman Creek bridge and Armstrong Mill Road
Motorists should use extra caution and watch for personnel when traveling through the work zones.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
