Right lane closed for maintenance repairs
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled right lane closure on Interstate 64 westbound in Woodford County.
The closure is necessary to allow maintenance crews to complete concrete roadway repairs.
Tuesday, Sept. 15 through Thursday, Sept. 17:
- The right lane of I-64 westbound will be closed from mile point 60.5 to mile point 59.5, near the Franklin County line.
- The closure will begin at midnight Tuesday, Sept. 15, and is expected to remain in place until 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17.
Motorists should expect delays and use extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
