TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Shoulder Work Scheduled in Scott County Wednesday Night

Street parking restricted during work

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 24, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled shoulder work in Scott County. 

Crews are scheduled to install edge and buffer lines from Mulberry Street to East Main Street Extended/Warrendale Avenue at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, and is expected to be completed the same night. During the work, shoulder street parking will be blocked in the area to allow crews space to work. 

Motorists should use extra caution and watch for crews working when traveling through the work zone. 

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
