TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Resurfacing Project Scheduled on KY 52 in Garrard County

Alternating lane closures planned on Richmond Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 17, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a resurfacing project on KY 52 (Richmond Road) in Garrard County.

Beginning Monday, July 20, weather permitting, crews will resurface KY 52 (Richmond Road) from mile point 11.36 (near Hensley Lane) to mile point 13.3 (near KY 954/Cartersville Road).

The project is expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.

Alternating lane closures will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists should use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone. 

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
