Bridge painting operations planned beneath I-64
LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 10, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that nightly lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 421 (W. Leestown Pike) beneath the Interstate 64 bridge near Midway in Woodford County.
Beginning tonight, Friday, July 10, weather permitting, lane closures will occur nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. to allow crews to paint the bridge beams over U.S. 421.
Motorists should use extra caution and watch for signage and personnel while traveling through the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
