TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Nighttime Resurfacing Project Scheduled for U.S. 25 in Fayette County

Alternating lane closures planned on Richmond Road

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 9, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a nighttime resurfacing project on U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) in Fayette County is scheduled to begin Sunday night, July 12.

Resurfacing operations will take place on U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) from Idle Hour Drive to New Circle Road (KY 4). Alternating lane closures will occur Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and is expected to last two weeks. 

Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers should watch for signage and personnel in the area.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
