Sewer drainage cleaning near Virginia Avenue
LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 29, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on South Broadway (U.S. 68) in Fayette County for sewer drainage cleaning.
Work is scheduled on Tuesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.
The following traffic impacts are expected:
- The inbound right lane on South Broadway (U.S. 68) will be closed at Virginia Avenue.
- The right-turn lane on Virginia Avenue onto South Broadway (U.S. 68) will also be closed.
Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling through the work zone. Drivers should watch for signage and personnel in the area.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways
