Traffic impacts include lane and ramp closures
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 29, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming traffic shifts associated with the ongoing I-64 rehabilitation project between mile points 63.8 and 73.5 in Fayette, Scott and Woodford counties.
I-64 Westbound
The left lane and shoulder remain closed through Wednesday, June 3 between the Cane Run Road overpass bridge and the U.S. 421 overpass bridge for bridge restoration and pavement repairs.
Beginning Thursday, June 4, the right lane and shoulder will be closed through Friday, June 19 along I-64 westbound between the Cane Run Road overpass bridge and the U.S. 421 overpass bridge for bridge restoration and pavement repairs.
KY 341 (Midway) Westbound Entrance Ramp
Beginning Wednesday night, June 3, the westbound entrance ramp from KY 341 (Midway Road) to I-64 westbound will be closed while crews perform pavement reconstruction operations.
The closure is anticipated to remain in place for approximately 20 days; however, the ramp may reopen sooner as work progresses.
Motorists are advised to reduce speed and use extra caution while traveling through the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
