Traffic camera upgrade work planned April 30 - May 1
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 30, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled overnight lane closures on Interstate 75 in Fayette County for traffic camera upgrade work.
Lane closures are planned Thursday night, April 30 from 8 p.m. through Friday morning, May 1 at 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Two separate closures will occur during this time:
- I-75 southbound (mile point 111): Double lane closure from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. near the split of I-75 southbound from I-64 eastbound
- I-75 northbound (mile point 114): Double lane closure from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. just north of the Russell Cave Road overpass
Motorists should expect delays and are advised to use caution, reduce speed, and watch for signage and personnel in the area.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
