Signal to become fully operational May 5
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 30, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled traffic signal activation at the intersection of U.S. 60 (Winchester Road) and Commerce Avenue/realigned Hume Road (mile point 12.2) in Fayette County.
The signal is currently in flash mode and was previously scheduled to become fully operational Thursday, April 30, but is now rescheduled to become fully operational on Tuesday, May 5 at 9 a.m. due to additional signal system work needed before full activation can take place.
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
