TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane closures scheduled on I-75 at Clays Ferry Bridge in Madison/Fayette County

Bridge deck work planned May 4-8

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 1, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on Interstate 75 at the Clays Ferry Bridge (mile point 99) at the Madison/Fayette County line.

Work will take place daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, weather permitting.

Crews will perform bridge inspection and bridge deck cleaning operations.

The right (slow) lane will be closed in both northbound and southbound directions during working hours. Two lanes will remain open in each direction at all times.

Motorists should use caution, reduce speed and watch for personnel and equipment in the work zone.

Updates will be provided in advance of any changes to the schedule.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
