TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled on I-75 in Fayette County Expected to Reopen a Day Early

I-75 widening and sign installation work, April 22-28

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 27, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists to expect I-75 ramp closures over the next week in Fayette County for the I-75 widening project and sign installation work.

The ramp closures are expected to reopen a day early. The updated closures schedule will occur at the following locations and times:

Friday, April 24 at 8 p.m. through 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 28

  • The I-75 southbound on-ramp from Paris Pike (Exit 113) to I-75 South will be closed for ramp widening work.
  • Motorists should detour using Exit 115 (Newtown Pike).

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan ahead and use alternate routes where possible.

All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties.
