Bridge deck pothole repairs planned April 27-30
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 24, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures next week on KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County for routine pothole repairs on bridge decks.
Daytime work is scheduled Monday, April 27, Tuesday, April 28, and Thursday, April 30 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., weather permitting. Work will take place at different locations along New Circle Road, with lane closures shifting each day as crews move between bridge locations.
Work locations include:
- Monday, April 27 – mile point 14 (Richmond Road overpass), westbound inner loop; left (fast) lane closed
- Tuesday, April 28 – mile point 17 (Chinoe Road overpass), westbound inner loop
- Thursday, April 30 – mile point 17.5 (Tates Creek Road overpass), westbound inner loop; right (slow) lane closed
One lane will remain open at all times; however, motorists should expect delays.
Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
