TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closures Scheduled on U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) in Fayette County

Daytime work planned April 7-8

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 3, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled lane closures on U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) in Fayette County for milling and paving operations.

Work will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 8, weather permitting.

The left lane will be closed on northbound U.S. 25 (Richmond Road) between mile points 11.2 and 11.6, from Life Lane (Southland Christian Church) to St. Margaret Drive/Lakeshore Drive. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane, while southbound traffic will not be impacted.

This work is necessary to mill and pave the centerline and improve roadway conditions for motorists.

Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for personnel in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
