TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Lane Closure Scheduled on New Circle Road (KY 4) in Fayette County

Right lane closure planned at Richmond Road overpass on March 18

LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 16, 2026) —The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a scheduled lane closure on New Circle Road (KY 4) in Fayette County for routine pothole repairs.

Work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18.

The right (slow) lane will be closed on the eastbound outer loop of New Circle Road at mile point 15 near the Richmond Road overpass while crews complete repairs. One lane of New Circle Road will remain open.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, use caution and watch for signage and personnel in the work zone.

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
