Motorists are advised to slow down, watch for crews working
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 13, 2026) — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of scheduled overnight pothole repairs on New Circle Road (KY 4) this week to restore smooth travel for motorists due to road damage caused by severe winter weather. Rolling roadblocks (a mobile operation) will be utilized for the work which requires slowing traffic to allow crews to safely patch potholes near live traffic. Work will be performed overnight and conclude before morning work commutes to minimize traffic impacts.
Temporary traffic delays are possible during operations. Motorists are advised to watch for signage and flashing arrows directing traffic through the work zone.
Overnight work is scheduled:
Tuesday, Feb. 17 — 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18
Wednesday, Feb. 18 — 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19
New Circle Road/KY 4
Outer Loop
- Operations will begin at US 25 (Georgetown Road), Exit 8 (milepoint 8.732), and proceed toward Woodhill Drive (milepoint 14.508).
Inner Loop
- Once work on the Outer Loop is complete, operations will begin at Woodhill Drive (milepoint 14.058) and proceed back toward US 25 (Georgetown Road), Exit 8 (milepoint 8.732).
All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis and are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
