U.S. 45 Ohio River “Brookport” Bridge Is Open
PADUCAH, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2026) – The U.S. 45 Ohio River "Brookport" Bridge has reopened to traffic.
As a safety precaution, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) temporarily closed the bridge between Paducah, Ky., and Brookport, Ill., on Saturday, Jan. 24, ahead of severe winter weather.
The bridge deck is currently clear of ice and has been treated with salt. Please use extra caution on the Kentucky approach, as there may be slick spots.
