Expect evening/overnight delays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

COVINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 21, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of rolling roadblocks on Interstates 71/75 in Boone and Kenton counties on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Traffic will be temporarily slowed to allow crews a safe area to perform pothole patching. This work will improve the safety of all road users on a heavily traveled corridor.

Crews will be pothole patching on I-71/75 between Buttermilk Pike (KY 371) (186.36 mile point) and the Richwood Road (KY 338) (175.0 mile point) exits, a distance of 11.36 miles. This work will take place between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Rolling roadblocks, each lasting 15 minutes, will occur during working hours. Traffic on mainline I-71/75 and several exit ramps will be slowed/stopped to allow the work to proceed safely.

Motorists should expect delays, consider alternate routes, and avoid the area during the scheduled hours. Please adhere to posted signage. DO NOT pass crews blocking ramps during the rolling roadblock.

Weather permitting, this work is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Project schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
