Closures Planned for Linda Mel, Kingsway Drives at U.S. 60 in McCracken County Starting Jan. 19 & 20

PADUCAH, Ky. (Jan. 15, 2026) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a daytime closure on Linda Mel Drive at its intersection with U.S. 60 in western McCracken County, starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 19.
This is part of the realignment work to connect U.S. 60 to the new section of U.S. 60 near Kevil.
The roadway is expected to reopen by 4:30 p.m. the same day. Motorists should temporarily detour using Kingsway Drive.
Following this work, crews will move to Kingsway Drive, which will be closed at its intersection with U.S. 60 starting Tuesday, Jan. 20 for about three weeks, weather permitting.
Crews will be realigning Kingsway Drive with the new U.S. 60. During this phase, motorists should detour using Linda Mel Drive.
