KY 473/Needmore Road in Ballard County to Close at Mile Point 15.28 Starting Thursday, Jan. 8
Bridge replacement project is north of Bandana
PADUCAH, Ky. (Jan. 6, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning to close KY 473/Needmore Road at mile point 15.28, north of Bandana, in Ballard County at about 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, to start a bridge replacement project.
This is located along KY 473 between KY 1105 and KY 1782.
Transportation engineers anticipate the new bridge will be open to traffic by mid-March, weather permitting, followed by final paving in the spring.
Motorists are asked to self-detour.
Approximately 313 vehicles travel this section of KY 473 in an average day.
