UPDATED TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Nighttime Closures of KY 12 (Flat Creek Road) Through Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Franklin County
KYTC crews to replace cross drains
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Jan. 6, 2026) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the nighttime closures of a section of KY 12 (Flat Creek Road) through Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Franklin County.
KY 12 (Flat Creek Road) will be closed between mile markers 12 and 13 (near Polsgrove Road) from 6 p.m. to midnight nightly on the dates below:
- Tuesday, Jan. 6
- Wednesday, Jan. 7
The nightly closures are necessary for contract crews to replace cross drains along the route. Drivers should expect to follow posted detours along the affected area while work is underway.
Following the replacement of the cross drains, crews will place a layer of dense-grade rock over them until asphalt can be laid. Motorists should use caution when driving over the newly replaced cross drains.
The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. For the latest traffic and travel updates across the Commonwealth of Kentucky, visit goky.ky.gov. Information specific to District 5 counties is also available on Facebook and X.
