Transportation Cabinet to Hold Public Meeting on Jan. 15 for KY 1819 (Watterson Trail) Roadway Improvements in Louisville
Citizens invited to provide input on preliminary designs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Dec. 18, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 15, to inform residents and gather input on a roadway improvement project (Item No. 5-00373.00) for KY 1819 (Watterson Trail) in Jefferson County from Plantside Drive to KY 913 (Blankenbaker Parkway).
The public meeting will be an open-house event held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Middletown City Hall, 11803 Old Shelbyville Rd, Louisville, KY 40243. Those interested may drop in any time to review preliminary designs, discuss designs with the project team, and provide input. There will be no formal presentation.
Following the public meeting, an online survey will be made available to gather additional public input. Input received from the public meeting and survey efforts will be compiled and considered during the final design phase. For more information, please visit the project website.
All written comments will become part of the official meeting record. Once compiled, the meeting record and supporting documentation will be made available for review and copying only after an Open Records Request has been received and approved. All Open Records Requests must be submitted to Transportation Cabinet, Office of Legal Services, Transportation Office Building (200 Mero St., Frankfort, KY 40622), or via kytc.openrecords@ky.gov.
