I-24 On and Off Ramp Repairs Underway in Caldwell County
Work will move to Christian County next week
MADISONVILLE, Ky. (December 4, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has begun a project to perform concrete repairs on several I-24 interchange ramps along the southern edge of KYTC District 2. The work will require temporary closures of select on- and off-ramps in Caldwell and Christian counties.
Ramp repair efforts started Wednesday at Exit 56 to KY 139 (Cadiz Road) in Caldwell County. Each ramp will be addressed individually, and ramps will be fully closed while repairs are underway. No marked detour will be provided during these closures.
Because the extent of repairs varies from ramp to ramp, the contractor is unable to provide precise closure durations in advance. However, work at Exit 56 is expected to wrap up by the end of the week.
Following completion at Exit 56, crews will move to Exit 73 (KY 117) in Christian County and then to Exit 86 (U.S. 41A). Each interchange is anticipated to take approximately 2–3 days to complete, weather permitting.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through these work zones and to plan ahead for possible delays or alternate routes. KYTC District 2 will provide updates as the project progresses.
