UPDATE: Daytime Lane Restriction to Begin Sunday, Nov. 9 on the Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridge

PADUCAH, Ky. (Nov. 7, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans to begin a daytime lane restriction on the Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridge, located at mile point 29.352 at the Marshall-Livingston County line, on Sunday, Nov. 9, one day earlier than previously announced.
During the work, traffic will be reduced to one lane in the direction where crews are active.
On Sunday, crews will work eastbound in the morning before shifting to westbound in the afternoon. Work will continue during daytime hours in the westbound lanes for several days before shifting back to the eastbound lanes.
The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Please watch for signage and use caution in the work zone.

PADUCAH, Ky. (Nov. 3, 2025) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will resume a daytime lane restriction on the Interstate 24 Tennessee River Bridge at mile point 29.352, located at the Marshall-Livingston County line, beginning Monday, Nov. 10.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the direction where painting and corrective work are taking place. Crews plan to start on the eastbound side before moving to the westbound.
The project is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists should stay alert for signage and message boards directing traffic in the work zone. Please use caution.
