TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Weekend Lane Closures on I-265 West Beginning Friday, Nov. 7, in Louisville
Contract crews to repair concrete slabs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 31, 2025) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of upcoming weekend lane closures on Interstate 265 West (Gene Snyder Freeway) in Louisville. Work is scheduled to begin Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m., and continue through Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m.
During this time, the left lane of I-265 West approaching the I-65 North on-ramp (near mile point 10.6) will be closed. Additionally, the right lane of I-265 West will be closed just past the I-265/I-65 interchange (near mile point 9.8).
These lane closures are necessary for contract crews to repair concrete slabs along the interstate and allow sufficient curing time. Motorists are urged to follow all lane closures restrictions, exercise caution in the work zone, and plan ahead for delays.
